PPL Foundation gives $25,000 for Hurricane Florence relief and recovery efforts
ALLENTOWN, Pa. (Oct.1, 2018) — To help with ongoing relief efforts related to Hurricane Florence in North Carolina and neighboring states, the PPL Foundation has donated $25,000 to the American Red Cross.
Funding for the American Red Cross will support the agency’s efforts to provide shelter, food and relief supplies for Hurricane Florence victims, as well as meals and other support for first responders in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.
“Through this contribution, the PPL Foundation is proud to lend its support to families and communities recovering from this devastating storm,” said Ryan Hill, president of the PPL Foundation. “And we’re proud to support the efforts of the American Red Cross, an organization that plays an invaluable role in providing relief to people when they need it most.”
