ALLENTOWN, Pa. (Sept. 9, 2026) – Customers looking to better understand their electric bill can take advantage of PPL Electric Utilities' free online Energy Analyzer to see how electricity is used throughout their home, identify opportunities to improve efficiency and receive personalized recommendations that may help lower energy costs.

Available through customers’ online accounts, the Energy Analyzer provides an easy-to-understand look at home electricity use. Customers can see approximately how much electricity different appliances and appliance categories (heating, cooling, laundry and more) use during each billing period, compare usage over time and identify opportunities to make their homes more energy efficient.

“Every home uses energy differently, and understanding where that energy goes is an important first step toward making informed choices,” said Tom McAteer, manager of Energy Efficiency, PPL Electric Utilities. “The Energy Analyzer gives customers personalized information they can use to manage their electricity use, improve efficiency and find changes that may help them save energy and money.”

Customers can use the Energy Analyzer to:

• Review recent appliance energy-use estimates.
• Compare electricity use across billing periods.
• View usage by month, day or hour.
• See how appliance categories contributed to a monthly bill.
• Learn more about “Always On” devices that use electricity around the clock.
• Receive personalized energy-saving recommendations based on their home and survey responses.
• Find information about available rebates, programs and equipment upgrades.

To get the most personalized information, customers are encouraged to complete the Energy Analyzer’s Home Survey. The brief survey asks about the home's size, heating and cooling systems, and commonly used appliances. Customers can update their responses as their home or appliances change to help keep the tool’s estimates and recommendations as accurate as possible.

The tool can also help customers take a closer look when one monthly bill is higher than another. Its Monthly Summary shows total electricity use and bill charges, along with estimates of how much each appliance category contributed during the billing period.

To access the Energy Analyzer, customers can:

1. Sign in to their online PPL Electric Utilities account.
2. Scroll down to the “Understand your energy use” section and select “Explore Energy Analyzer.”
