PROVIDENCE, R.I. (October 26, 2026) – Rhode Island Energy (RIE) is spotlighting the dedicated employees whose work helps keep energy flowing safely and reliably across the Ocean State. Through RIE’s It's Your Energy campaign, the company is sharing stories of employees who bring expertise, passion, and a deep commitment to serving the communities where they live and work every day.

"Our latest round of featured employees - Jared, Liz, Ryan and Soso - represent the hundreds of dedicated employees whose work helps strengthen neighborhoods, support local businesses, protect our environment and improve quality of life across Rhode Island."

Investing in a safe and skilled workforce

For Jared, safety and reliability start with people. As a field trainer on RIE's natural gas team, he helps prepare crews with the skills, knowledge, and hands-on experience they need to work safely and confidently. Working to develop the next generation of natural gas professionals, Jared helps support the safe, reliable service customers depend on every day.

Putting safety first

Liz works across RIE to help foster a culture where safety comes first. After serving as a Marine and protecting her country, Liz now works to protect the employees, customers, and the communities RIE serves every day. Her work helps reinforce that safety is everyone's responsibility and supports RIE’s commitment to ensuring employees return home safely at the end of each day.

Protecting reliability while supporting the environment

A lifelong Rhode Islander, Ryan grew up appreciating the natural places that make the Ocean State unique. Today, as a Senior Forester for RIE, he helps balance environmental stewardship with electric system reliability. Ryan manages vegetation around power lines to help reduce the risk of outages while creating healthier habitats for wildlife and pollinators. His work supports the reliable energy service customers depend on and the responsible management of Rhode Island's natural resources.

Connecting communities to opportunity

Having grown up in the communities she now serves, Soso helps connect new schools, businesses and neighborhoods to the electric grid. Whether supporting a new school, a growing business, or an expanding neighborhood, Soso helps bring energy to projects that strengthen communities across the state.

Together, the stories of Jared, Liz, Ryan, and Soso showcase the people powering RIE's mission to provide safe, reliable, and sustainable energy service to Rhode Islander’s.
