PPL completes sale of Tower Building complex to D&D Realty Group

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (Feb. 7, 2025) – PPL Electric Utilities announced today that it has completed the sale of its 2 North Ninth Street Tower Building and office complex to Pennsylvania-based developer D&D Realty Group for $9 million.

The developer’s proposed plans for the properties, covering about 450,000 square feet in downtown Allentown, Pennsylvania, include new mixed-use commercial spaces, apartments and other amenities.

PPL Electric Utilities’ parent company, PPL Corporation, continues to maintain a strong presence in Allentown, with its headquarters now located at Two City Center in the heart of downtown Allentown.

Founded in 2010, D&D Realty Group, based in Scranton, is known throughout the state for its redevelopment projects, which include converting properties into mixed-used commercial and residential units with amenities including restaurants, storage and grocery stores.

For this transaction, D&D Realty Group is composed of the following investors: Nicholas Dye, Casey Donahue and John P. Carson III.
